Our Housekeeping team is responsible for maintaining more than 700 units of accommodation; from apartments to Lodges and Treehouses, and for looking after our public areas and office spaces, so no two days are the same. HOUSEKEEPING OPERATIONS MANAGER | £47,800 per annum plus 12% bonus scheme
Reporting to the Housekeeping and Accommodation Services Manager, you will be required to assist, support and where relevant deputise in all aspects of housekeeping activity in accordance with company objectives.
You will manage the team of Housekeeping Zone Managers to ensure a smooth and efficient housekeeping service across the business.
Responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and providing guidance to the Housekeeping Zone Managers to ensure all housekeeping processes are carried out efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Deputising for the Accommodation and Housekeeping Services Manager in their absence, for example attend meetings on their behalf and ensure the smooth running of the department
- Producing and analysing key statistics, identifying trends and following up on any adverse results
- Participating in disciplinary and grievance investigations / hearings to ensure relevant issues are dealt with formally
- Providing advice and coaching to managers
- Participating / assisting with midweek and weekend Duty Management
- Producing the Housekeeping divisional budget update on a 4-weekly basis
You will support with facilitating and developing a culture that promotes and encourages the general wellbeing, motivation, and morale of your team, whilst ensuring effective performance management strategies are in place and your team are actively contributing towards this
This role will be required to participate in the out of hours Duty Management rota, so will involve working evenings, weekends and public / bank holidays on a rota basis.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. These shifts will typically fall between 9am and 5pm and will include working some weekends.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
- A good level of computer literacy and analytical skills
- Proven track record in leading a team, including string influencing skills
- Management qualification e.g. NVQ Level 4 or equivalent
- Management experience within the hospitality or facilities industry
- Management experience of large teams of people
- Financial control experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
