MAINTENANCE PROJECT MANAGER - NEW BUILD AND REFURBISHMENT | Circa £47,700 per annum plus 12% bonus scheme
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all village projects, which will include new builds, and major and minor refurbishment conversions. You will also coordinate other divisional activities all to company standard and in a timely prioritised basis.
You will ensure the projects are discharged in an efficient and risk-free manner in accordance with company policies and best practices.
Responsibilities will include:
- Agreeing budgetary requirements with the Development Project Manager in accordance with the company’s financial plan
- Attend all pre-start and ongoing refurbishment meetings, ensuring adequate communication systems are in place between the village and the project teams
- Ensure all orders are placed as required on a timely basis
- Coordinate delivery, installation and disposal of all items and report to the senior manager
- Controlling on-site and village-wide safety to ensure that the health and safety of all colleagues, guests and contractors is not compromised, with particular attention to site boundaries and vehicles on the village
- Ensure that all snagging items are completed within the agreed time scale, ensuring that the guest experience is not compromised
- Providing professional leadership and direction taking the lead role in the management of all projects
This role will be required to participate in the out of hours Duty Management rota, so will involve working evenings, weekends and public / bank holidays on a rota basis.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. These shifts will fall between 8am and 8pm and will include working 1 in every 5 weekends.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
ABOUT YOU
You will be naturally cheerful, helpful, energetic and enthusiastic and be able to control a busy workload to plan and organise works throughout the day keeping a level head, especially when under pressure. You will have excellent communication skills which are essential to liaise with Contractors, Guests and Staff effectively and in a friendly manner.
Essential requirements:
- HNC in construction, engineering or formal project management qualifications
- Project management experience with a construction, maintenance or refurbishment background
- Proven in managing a dynamic workload planning and prioritising tasks
- Proven ability to complete works to a high standard, on time and within budget
- Familiar with procurement techniques and associated forms of contracts
- Ability to communicate well at all levels
