SALES LEDGER ASSISTANT | £25,600 per annum, pro rata

Hybrid role with both office and home-working

Are you detail-oriented, highly organised, and passionate about finance? We’re looking for a Sales Ledger Assistant to join our Finance team and play a key role in managing the Group’s Corporate Events sales ledger activity.

This is a fixed term contract until Friday 27 November 2026.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and issuing invoices, processing payments, and ensuring timely credit control. You’ll also support our Accounts Receivable Specialist with other areas of the sales ledger, including concession partners and rebates receivable.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare and issue accurate invoices for Corporate Sales clients using CABS and other systems
  • Maintain the Corporate Events sales ledger across all villages, including journal entries
  • Assist with invoicing and ledger maintenance for concession partners and supplier rebates
  • Monitor and chase outstanding payments to ensure compliance with credit terms
  • Process and account for all cash, cheque, and card payments received
  • Prepare debtor summaries and Work in Progress reports for period-end
  • Issue credit notes and support ad-hoc finance projects

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts receivable role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting systems is an advantage
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively 

HOURS OF WORK

This is a fixed term contract until Friday 27th November 2026.

You will be contracted to work 96 hours per 4-week period (24 hours per week). Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, dynamic working is available whereby the earliest start time is 7am and the latest finish time is 7pm.

This is a hybrid role with both office and home-working.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • Competent Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
  • The ability to communicate confidently and effectively
  • Experience working in a busy finance function
  • Adaptability and flexibility within a team environment

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience of a sales ledger function
