WASTEWATER TREATMENT WORKS ENGINEER | £19.03 per hour
We are looking to appoint a Wastewater Treatment Works Engineer to join our Technical Services team. In this role you will carry out tasks to resolve issues, reporting any defects or concerns which may cause future problems.
Responsibilities will include undertaking inspections, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and assisting with any other general work as briefed by Technical Services Management.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in the Wastewater industry.

HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. These shifts will fall between 6:30am and 4pm.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis. You will be required to be ‘on call’ for any issues that may arise during out of hours working.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
One of the following qualifications is required along with a full UK driving licence and suitable working experience in the relevant technical field:
Electrical
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation Theory & Practice or Equivalent NVQ or SVQ qualification in Electrical Installation
- C&G 2381/2 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
Plumbing or Mechanical
- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
Desirable requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision
- Previous experience or working knowledge of:
- BMS systems
- CHP Plant
- District heating systems
