Our Housekeeping team is responsible for maintaining more than 700 units of accommodation; from apartments and penthouses to Lodges and Treehouses and for looking after our public areas and office spaces, so no two days are the same. That's why it's the largest team on each Village.

HOUSEKEEPING TEAM LEADER - LINEN AND LOGISTICS | €16.91 per hour

As a Linen Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Accommodation cleaning and linen delivery operation, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in line with the department operational standards Manual.

Responsibilities will include:

  • The organisation, allocation and monitoring of colleagues undertaking the linen delivery operation ensuring that high standards of clean linen are delivered and used linen is collected within set deadlines
  • Supervision of the inventory team, Aqua Sana Laundry team, Lost Property team, BOH Laundry team and Uniform Coordination
  • Ordering, receipting and liaising directly with suppliers as well as budget management and rota control
  • Ensuring vehicles are equipped with all items required for the linen run and are unloaded and clean upon completion of the linen run
  • Providing a point of contact for each linen van via radio, communicating any issues to the Linen Manager and the Accommodation Supervisors as and when necessary

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 75 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts will typically fall between 8:30am to 9:00pm.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include 1 out of 4 weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills and be willing to work outside in all weathers.

Essential requirements:

  • Sociably confident with excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Full driving licence held for a minimum of 6 months, willingness to undertake trailer training 
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office and general IT literacy 
  • Have a motivational approach towards colleagues and work 
  • Empathetic and supportive approach to leading a team 

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous supervisory experience within the cleaning industry
  • Customer facing experience
