Assistant Restaurant Manager

Whinfell Forest | Circa £34,600 per annum plus tips

All colleagues working in the following restaurants: Rajinda Pradesh, Huck's American Bar and Grill, The Pancake House, Sports Café, The Lakeside Inn, Forester’s Inn and Vitalé Café Bar will benefit from the discretionary service charge we add to bills. Serve up the flavour that turns a good break into a great one

Sports Café serves hearty meals and shows live sports in a lively, family-friendly setting.

Lead and coach the team to deliver an excellent guest experience while achieving financial targets. This role requires supervisory-level catering or bar management experience, strong leadership, financial awareness and communication skills.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and coach colleagues to maintain high service standards
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by proactively addressing queries and concerns
  • Monitor and achieve financial targets through effective cost control and analysis
  • Support back-of-house operations and work across units with varying service styles
  • Utilise strong computer literacy and analytical skills for reporting and planning

Your working hours

  • Full-time, working straight shifts
  • You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum of 160 hours over a 4week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements
  • This role includes evenings

About you

  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong computer literacy and analytical skills 
  • Previous supervisory experience at a similar level 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Highly organised with the ability to perform under pressure
