Senior Internal Ranger
Longford Forest | €17.58 per hour
Care for the forest that cares for our guests
Oversee and maintain the company's extensive collection of internal plant specimens to the highest standards. Lead and manage the interior landscape team while supporting strategic development of key spaces, including the iconic Subtropical Swimming Paradise.
What you'll be doing
- Assist in the supervision of the Ground Services team
- Support with purchasing rare plants and pond wildlife
- Maintain plants to a high standard (watering, pruning and bed upkeep)
- Implement and monitor pest control strategies and support the Grounds team with external landscaping
- Work effectively in hot and humid conditions (our Subtropical Swimming Paradise is heated to 29.5°C year-round)
- Support with additional duties when required during adverse weather

Your working hours
- Full-time contract, fully flexible
- You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum of 150 hours over a 4‑week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements
- This role includes weekends and bank holidays
- Premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday
- You will be required to participate in the department's call-out rota as the senior representative of the department as required
About you
- FETAC level 2/3 in one of the following: Horticulture / Forestry / Countrywide Management or a related field
- Experience in interior landscaping and / or nursery horticultural industry
- Previous experience in the use of agricultural, forestry and horticultural machinery, along with a certified competency in use of pesticides
- Previous supervisory experience
- Full driving licence, held for a minimum of 6 months
