Pool Assistant

Longford Forest | €14.35 per hour

Keep guests smiling and safe

As part of the Subtropical Swimming Paradise team, the Pool Assistant role plays an important part in supporting the Lifeguard team to provide a safe, enjoyable and well-managed environment for guests.

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver a safe operation on our iconic rides: Tropical Cyclone and Typhoon
  • Supervising non-lifeguarded areas that require support
  • Provide a friendly, professional customer service
  • Maintain cleanliness and uphold health and safety standards
  • Support with running our water-based activities
  • Conduct regular water testing and sampling
  • As part of the role you are required to complete Swimming Pool Emergency Response Award Swimming Pool Emergency Rescue Award | Royal Life Saving Society UK ( RLSS UK )

Your working hours

  • Full-time and part-time contracts, shifts fall between 7:30am and 8:30pm 
  • You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum amount of hours over a 4‑week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements
  • This role includes early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays
  • Free transport to and from work is available from Ballymahon and Longford Town for colleagues without access to their own transport
  • Premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday

About you

  • Naturally cheerful and able to communicate effectively with guests
  • Able to stay vigilant and calm under pressure
  • Must be a competent swimmer, able to swim 25 metres on your front and back, retrieve an object from the pool floor and exit the pool unaided

Note: You'll need to complete a Garda vetting before starting (we'll help with that).
