At Aqua Sana Forest Spa, we’re passionate about developing and inspiring our colleagues. Training Coordinator, Julie-Ann went one step further - successfully applying to become the [ comfort zone ] UK representative on their brand ambassador trip to Italy.

Julie-Ann spent three days immersed in the heart of Milan, deepening her knowledge of the [ comfort zone ] brand, its sustainable range of products and the science behind it, as well as meeting a team of ambassadors from across the world.

"Center Parcs is such a lovely place to work – it’s a relaxed, happy, and calm environment. It honestly makes you feel like you're not really working!"

Since joining the team, Lily has already taken part in an extensive range of training: "I've received some incredible training so far, including OPI manicure and pedicure training, as well as Aqua Sana’s own brand facials and massages. I’m really excited for the upcoming training with Elemis, Voya, and Comfort Zone. All the training is done in-house in our dedicated training room, and the trainers are always available if we need help with any techniques."

Lily also emphasises the importance of Center Parcs’ approach to Therapist wellbeing: "The 4.5-hour massage limit is so beneficial. It ensures we can give top-quality treatments to every guest without it being too strenuous on our bodies."

Center Parcs is well known for its amazing colleague benefits, and it seems Lily agrees: "We earn commission from the products we sell, which really boosts our wages. It’s motivating to sell products because guests get long-lasting benefits, and we also receive incentives from product houses like vouchers and free products!". She also says, "We have a colleague recognition portal, where we can earn points and exchange them for vouchers – it’s a really nice way to reward our hard work."

Sienna’s journey with Center Parcs started nearly three years ago when she joined as a Lifeguard in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise - her first “grown-up” job while studying Beauty Therapy at college. 

After two years in the pool, she took the opportunity to move into a different setting, transferring to the Aqua Sana Forest Spa as a Spa Assistant. 

 “It’s the same kind of role, but the atmosphere is completely different - calm, peaceful and all about relaxation. I’m passionate about the beauty industry, so being here means I can keep learning while helping guests have a memorable experience.”

Sienna’s days are varied - from water testing and laundry to restocking and showing guests around the spa. Because there’s an outdoor pool at Aqua Sana, she still keeps her NPLQ qualification up to date with monthly training.

The 8-week rotas and alternate weekends off mean Sienna gets a great balance between work and life - and she even visits the spa on her days off.
